England against West Indies: Tourists leave Shimron Hetmyer from the Odi squad

The dough Shimron Hetmyer was left out of the one -day international squad of West Indies this month to play England and Ireland.

The left-hander Hetmyer, who is currently playing in the Indian Premier League (IPL), and one of the best-known players in West Indies, who was seen last year in the 2-1 win of the Windies against a below-average England.

He missed a series against Bangladesh, which was followed by illness and was replaced by the 27-year-old Amir Jangoo, who celebrated a century in the third game.

West Indian Islands will play a one -day one -day international series in Ireland from May 21st to 25th, before playing in England on May 29, June 1st and June 3.

Three T20s against England follow from June 6th.

It will be the first white ball series for England since Harry Brook was appointed permanent white captain.

There is no place in West Indies’ squad for Nicholas Pooran, who has not played Odi since 2023.

The Touring Party is largely the same as the one that England defeated, with Batter Shai Hope Captain and Alzarri Joseph, Jayden Seales and Shamar Joseph under the Seam Bowlern.

Former Ireland all-rounder Kevin O’Brien will work with Hope’s side during the Irish leg of the tour.

“These games form a critical component for the 2027 World Cup, and there are signs of the consistency of team construction based on the Sweep series series against Bangladesh and the victory against England at the end of last year,” said coach Darren Sammy.

“We assume that the conditions are a challenge, but we create a culture and way of thinking that emphasizes to play the cricket brand that brings us closer to some of our general goals.”
