Dodgers call ex-KBO infyesong kim; Tommy Edman on IL

Atlanta-Die Los Angeles Dodgers remembered the South Korean all-star Heseong Kim on Saturday and put the second Baseman Tommy Edman on the injured list.

On January 3, Kim agreed to a three-year contract for a three-year contract of $ 12.5 million and opened the season with Triple-A Oklahoma City.

Edman was put on the injured list by Wednesday after missing two games with a aching right ankle. Edman took second place in the team with eight homes and 24 RBIs.

“Tommy ran (Friday) and still didn’t feel good,” said Dodger’s manager Dave Roberts against the Atlanta Braves before the game on Saturday evening. “Still some pain in the ankle. He didn’t feel that he could play potentially tonight or even tomorrow.”

Roberts said he expects Edman to spend the injured list for at least 10 days.

Edman’s injury offered Kim an opportunity to make his debut in the Major League on Saturday evening. He entered the second basis in the ninth inning of a 10: 3 victory.

“I’ll find out to see if there is an opportunity to start,” said Roberts before the game. “At the moment he can come from the bank and fill out in certain places.”

Chris Taylor started with second place in a game by 3 hours, 6 minutes because of rain and lightning.

Roberts said Kim’s versatility as a middle information, outfield and Pinch-Runner was a factor for the team’s decision based on the squad depth for what Roberts said, “possibly a short stay” in the majors.

The 26-year-old Kim played eight seasons in South Korea, including the last six with the Kihoom Heroes based in Seoul.

In 28 games with Oklahoma City, Kim scored with five homes, 19 RBIs and 13 stolen bases .252.
