Holly Madison, a former Playboy model and one of Hugh Hefner’s long -time friends, left the Playboy men’s house in 2008. After telling her story over the years, she is sure about one thing – Hollywood can be a bad place.

“There is definitely a dark lower abdomen,” the 45-year-old told Fox News Digital. “In Hollywood there is a kind of energy that I have felt since I moved. There is this energy when you are this young woman who gets out of the bus from the middle west or wherever you come.

“There are leeches that you take advantage of and destroy and you want to use everywhere,” added the mother of two children.

“And I’m not just talking about rich, mighty people. I’m talking about pimps on the street. I speak of people who try to bait and change and include girls in sex trade. … it is really everywhere. I saw it first -hand when I moved here at 19.”

“It is almost ironic because I felt like Playboy when I was certain in the villa in a way, even though all these things were going on that I hated and didn’t like,” said Madison.

“It felt like I was almost the sanitary corporate version of sexuality. But it felt much safer for me to live in this large, guarded house than to go around in my car that is ready to collapse to make ends and get around the street.”

“I thought I would end like the Black Dahlia or something,” remarked Madison, referring to one of La’s most notorious murder cases. “I thought Playboy was my safe harbor.”

Madison was 21 years old when she moved to the Playboy villa. She made her exit at the age of 29 after wrapping “The Girls Next Door”, a reality TV series about Hefner’s diverse friends. In 2016 she wrote a memoir “Down the Rabbit Hole” and claimed years of verbal and emotional abuse.

When Madison looked back on her experiences, it advised every hopeful model that would go on the way to Hollywood for a big break to “keep her circle of friends”.

“I remember that I was 18 and 19 years old and thought I was so bad and that I could just take over the world and that I had sex like a man and could not have an emotional bond,” she considered.

“But that’s really not the case. Such things have a lot of emotional weight. I think it’s really good thing to deal with the stories of people who are honest on all sides of the industry.

“Everything about their story just looks so familiar to me. It was really scary for me because I have the feeling of being in many situations in which they are only traveling with friends, and there are people who have no interests of people.”

“(It was found that there is not enough evidence of criminal proceedings, but there are text messages that indicate that they knew that someone had put their drink under drugs,” said Madison. “It seemed as if there was a lot of negligence and people around her who should have helped her and not.

“It is just a really scary feeling to look at a case like this and to feel that this could have been me or one of my friends if we celebrate and only have fun to be (to) be normal young people,” she said. “I hope your family can get answers and closures.”

When asked whether Playboy was supposed to have come and pushed for answers, Madison admitted that it was complicated.

“Playboy was such a great society with so many people who worked for it,” she said. “That is why we could find cases of three seasons. There were Playboy clubs across the country where so many women worked as rabbits. I think it is impossible for a company to really live the lives of everyone who has ever worked for them, especially if something has happened while the person was not at work.

Madison noticed that if they are part of a “high-stakes environment”, there is a lot of risks. Therefore, it is crucial, she said for aspiring models to keep a close circle of friends that do not come from Hollywood.

“You go to Playboy and there may be so much to win,” she said. “There is fame, there is money, there are options. And if you are the person who gets these options, there can be a lot of jealousy.

“If you do that, more extreme things can happen,” she said. “Although many people in this environment can have a positive experience, many crazy things can also happen.”

Today Madison calls Las Vegas at home. She has attributed the series to help her to contact other women from her Playboy past who exposed to her own fights in Hollywood.

“It was healing to share my story,” she said. “I had the feeling that when I (went), only on the TV show in which I was in I thought, people thought that I had this magical relationship, and they only expected positive things. I would only say positive things at first, just because I thought it was the nice thing.
