Tesla Director of Lasting for North America, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Asia -Pacific Max de Zegher recently divided some insights into a fairly interesting rule that follows the SuperCharger team. It is a rule that enables Tesla in many ways to further accelerate the EV.

No exclusivity

In a recent article in its official social media account on X, the Tesla charging team found that it does not contain exclusivity clauses for the EV ranking with real estate owners. According to the team, they discover real estate owners to choose exclusivity clauses because the EV fees should not be restricted. “The orientation of more charging infrastructure improves the trust of the range, loads the fee prices low and accelerates the EV acceptance,” wrote the Tesla charging team in his post.

While the SuperCharger network in the electric vehicle sector could have been a strong moat for Tesla, the charge network has been opened for the EVS of other car manufacturers in recent years. In North America, Tesla’s local NACs has become a standard that was taken over by veterans such as Ford and General Motors and newer companies such as Lucid Motors and Rivian.

Comments by the charging director

In a follow-up comment, De Zegher explained that the Tesla charging team does it to regard the landlords why EVloads should not have any exclusivity clauses. According to the executive, there is no shortage of areas in which EV loading areas could be organized. Therefore, it only makes sense to support your expansion.

“If the landlords offer us exclusivity, we actively reject them and explain our argument. We encourage them to install as much charge infrastructure as possible. We are our goal to ensure as much reliable and affordable load infrastructure as possible. Zegher wrote in a article about X.

Tesla Supercharger statistics

According to Tesla, the company operates 7,131 Secher stations with 67,316 Supercharger stands worldwide at the end of the first quarter. This effectively makes the Supercharger network one of the most reliable and cost-effective loading elements on the market.
