Orlando Pride face a difficult challenge when you travel to Portland

After an exciting comeback in a 3-2 home NWSL victory against Angel City FC last weekend, the Orlando Pride will play all over the country on Saturday evening.

Orlando (5-1-0, 15 points) takes over the Portland Thorns (2-2-3, 9 points) and would like to continue his advance to get back to the head of the league.

The pride has fought against Portland historically. Orlando won only four times in 20 games against the Thorns and only won once in Portland in 2018.

“Historically, it was not always a great place for us to play, but we are now another team, I think, a different context, different circumstances,” said Orlando coach Seb Hines.

“It will be a good environment. It is always a nice place to play with the fans, the opponent, everything that goes hand in hand.

Orlando’s attack is one of the best in the league with 14 goals in six games. Barbra Banda has contributed four of these goals, and their development drives the offense of pride. While she has been impressive since entering the club a year ago, she remains humble and gives most of her individual success for the hard work of her teammates.

“Everything comes from teamwork, and it’s not about me. All of these things that get up are the hard work of the team,” said Banda. “It is a team that loves and we love to help each other. So everything starts from the team.”

Banda and the offensive of Orlando are faced with a Thorn’s defense that has allowed nine goals in seven games this season. If you continue with the shape you showed against Angel City, Orlando should find many options for attack.
