BFD reacts to a four-alarm fire in Church Street in the city center of Buffalo

Buffalo, NY (WKBW)-the fire brigade of Buffalo reacted to a four-alarm fire in Church Street in downtown Buffalo shortly before 12:30 p.m.

Patrick Lalley, head of the Buffalo Fire Department Battalion, provided an update on Thursday shortly before 3 p.m. He said when the crews arrived at the crime scene in the 36 Church Street, they found fire on the second floor. The fire went to a second alarm, then the third alarm and then at 1:04 p.m. for the fourth alarm

According to Lalley, the crews drove from the building due to the conditions after the fire spread to the third floor and then onto the roof.

From around 4 p.m., the officials announced that the fire was under control and the crews remained on site to carry out outdated operations and surveillance for hot spots.

36 Church Street lies between the historical guarantee and Verizon buildings. According to Lalley, both buildings were protected and safe. He explained that there were firefighters in both buildings in which live lines watched the walls, only in the event that the fire spread.

According to Lalley, around 100 men and women helped fight fire.
