Alabama Power calls Environmental Law Expert to guide green initiatives

Birmingham, ala.Present April 29, 2025 / Prnewswire/ – The Alabama Power Board of Directors chose Stacey Turner Vice President of the Environmental Affairs organization of the company, which is immediately effective.

The tasks of Turner include compliance and strategy of the environment as well as the company’s environmental programs and businesses.

Turner previously worked as an Associate General Counter for Environmental Policy and Litigation at Southern Company Services Inc. (SCS). Before she came to SCS, she headed a team of lawyers at Georgia Power. Turner started her career at Morris, Manning & Martin Law Firm in Atlanta, GA.

Turner has a juris doctor from the University of Michigan Law School, a master’s degree of Columbia Graduate school for journalism from the university and a bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Florida
