Two men from Miami were arrested late Saturday evening after a fight in front of a Wendy’s restaurant in Key Largo, according to the Sheriff’s office by Monroe County.

The deputies answered a report on a ongoing fight at 11:37 p.m. in the parking lot of the fast food restaurant. When they arrived, they watched a group of people who fought.

However, two suspects, who were identified as 20-year-old Kriss Bernabeu and 18-year-old Jonathan Fajardo, tried to flee on foot.

According to the authorities, both men seemed to be intoxicated and were accused of disturbing peace and opposing arrest.

Witnesses informed the MPs that the argument began when the two suspects were in the lane because the dining area was closed, in a dispute with people in a vehicle who also waited in line. At some point during the confrontation, both suspicious sticks picked up.

No serious injuries have been reported and the examination has not yet been completed.

The MPs say that additional fees or arrests may be available.
