The group chat message from Jaren Jackson JR inspired two Memphis Grizzlies players on great achievements in play-in victory

The 24-point display by Jaren Jackson Jr. proved to be a pivotal for the Memphis Grizzlies in their play-in game victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

After a defeat against the Golden State Warriors in their first game, the grizzlies needed a great reaction and that was exactly what they received when they secured a dominant 120-106 victory against the Dallas Mavericks.

Desmond Bane, yes Morant and Jaren Jackson Jr. combined for 68 of the Memphis Grizzlies.

This means that the team now has its first matchup against the OKC Thunder.

Before the must-win game against the MAVS, Morant and Bane revealed that the former defender of the year had sent a message about the group chat to which the players reacted well.

Grizzlies reacted well to the news of Jaren Jackson Jr.

Morant and Bane revealed that the performance of the grizzlies was driven after the loss of game against the warriors of Jackson Jr.’s message.

The trio was the key for the team and can only win the Grizzlies games.

In the news of Jackson Jr. Morant said: “We three were pretty closed all the time. As soon as the Warrior’s game was over, we were pretty much prepared for what we had to do to get to this point.

“Trip (Jackson Jr.) used to send us a paragraph that I and Desmond Bane responded, pretty much enough said we already knew what we were going out there.”

Desmond Bane also confirmed the message from Jackson Jr. and spoke about it at his press conference after the game.

“We had a nice little chat run all year round and were able to define all things from each other.

“I had to hear (it) and I’m sure, yes, I had to come into play this evening.

“And our answer was, let’s march, let’s bring our best foot forward, let us do it,” said Bane.

Jaren Jackson Jr. will play an important role against Thunder

JJJ ended the regular season with an average of 22.2 ppg, which was only behind Morant.

He appeared in games that the security guard did not play and helped the grizzlies to stay in Playoff spots despite the decline in the overall route after the All Star break.

Richard Jefferson called Jackson Jr. because of the lack of rebound in his game, but that does not take away anything from his defensive resistance.

He can guard several positions and this is something that decides against the thunder, which is led by MVP leader Shai Gilgeous-Alexander.

Jackson Jr. has increased his game massively at the offensive end without dropping his ability to defend.

The Thunder have players who can play at both ends, and if the grizzlies want to fight a fight, they will need Jackson Jr. and their other players to make a contribution, since Mark Daignake’s men are the best defense in the league.
