Fire in Carls Jr. near Cannery Row | News

A fire on Thursday morning, April 3, destroyed the location of Carl Jr. in the lighthouse and David Avenues in Monterey. Flames flammed through the roof and let it collapse with several walls of the structure.

There were no injuries, but the Monterey fire brigade reported that the building is a total loss. No damage was reported near buildings.

Rauch was reported around 6:40 a.m. The MFD crews arrived on site and quickly gave up for help.

The first to answer entered the building and found that the flames spread. When the fire started to consume the attic and shoot through the roof, the teams went into defense mode. Two ladder cars allowed the firefighters to spray the roof, but the fire was beyond control.

Seven other engines as well as a respirator and the police from the police authorities Monterey and Pacific Grove fought the fire and secured the area. The traffic could be continued between the lighthouse and David.

According to the MFD reports, 39 firefighters from six departments – Cal Fire, Pebble Beach, Seaside, Presidio of Monterey and Monterey County Regional, in addition to MfD – were on site.
