5 NCAA Softball tournament disorders to get to Super Regionals

play

Rejoice, College Softball fans.

The may-hem is just around the corner.

The NCAA soft ball tournament 2025 begins on Friday with all 64 teams in the field. Each team is played at one of 16 regional locations across the country from Florida to Oregon.

The early games start at 11 a.m. Oklahoma and the late games will only end almost midnight.

It is not a national holiday, but maybe it should be the third Friday in May.

The four-team double elimination regions will complete on Sunday, with a team appearing and the Super Regionals progresses the next week. The winners of the head-to-top-best-of-three-super-super-regions will climb into the Women’s College World Series in Oklahoma City.

But one thing after the other.

Historically, the regionals went to chalk, with the exposed guest team often won. But Parity continues to increase in College Softball, and with more good teams than ever before, the disturbances of these Saatte team seem more likely than ever.

Here are five teams that can upset their way to the super -regional:

1. Nebraska

The reason is simple: Jordy Bahl. The Cornhusker -ASS is back after he torn her knee a year ago at the start of the season, and it is almost always. (And that says something since she has led Oklahoma to two national championships before she came around home to play in Nebraska.) The right has earned an average value of 1.57, and it also hits 0.458 for the Huskers with 19 Homern and 59 runs.

Both your era and your average blow below the top 10 national.

But it is Bahl’s arm who gives Nebraska the best chance to go to LSU and win the Baton Rouge regionally. She played in the NCAA tournament in these high-pressure situations and she succeeded.

When Bahl and the Huskers survive, they are not surprised to see them in Oklahoma City.

2. Virginia Tech

The Hokies could easily have played in Blacksburg this weekend. You have an RPI of 14, the highest team that does not organize a regionally. Instead, they are on their way to Alabama.

But things get even more interesting here: Virginia Tech not only played in Tuscaloosa this season, but also beat the Crimson Tide there. Virginia Tech won a 2-1 game in Alabama on February 21.

Of course, Alabama twisted Virginia Tech 9-1 in five innings two days later.

The drama this weekend should be high.

However, the Hokies will be a handful of the crimson tide. Virginia Tech achieves an average of 7.12 a game with the 17th best college soft ball. Alabama will need high quality innings by Jocelyn Briski and Catelyn Riley.

3. Stanford

The cardinal knew that it would be on the road for regionals. His stadium is under renovation, so that it would not be able to assert itself, even if it had caught a top 16 seed. To be honest, it had a curriculum vitae that was worth being sown.

Instead, it goes to a familiar place: Oregon.

Until this season, Stanford and Oregon Pac-12 opponents were, so that the borders in Eugene will not be anything, which the cardinal did not see.

Under the direction of Virginia Tech Transfer Lyndsey Grein, Oregon, was great in a circle this season, but Stanford is one of the country’s best offensive teams. It is on average 8.1 runs a game that is only in second place after Ohio State (8.5). Taryn Kern, Jade Berry and Kyra Chan will make Stanford a hard -boiled.

4. State Oklahoma

The cowgirls were a top 5 team in the pre-season and sometimes played on this level, with victories against Texas A & M, Florida State, Texas Tech, Arizona and Alabama. Yes, OSU beat five of the 16 best teams in this tournament.

So go to Arkansas and win the regionally from Fayetteeville?

It doesn’t seem to question.

But the cowgirls will need more offensive – and more consistently – to hang with the razibacks. Yes, the Osu also has to cool Arkansas’ bats (namely Bri Ellis) with Ace Ruby Meylan, but even if it was nails, the cowgirls regularly have difficulty doing run support.

Should Karli Godwin, Rosie Davis, Amanda Hasler and Co. roll.

5. Florida Atlantic

I have to have a team with a non-power four on the list, and the owls have a legitimate shot to go to Florida and win the regional from Gainesville.

This is primarily due to the victories in Florida Atlantic’s curriculum vitae. In the first week of the season, Ole Miss and Clemson defeated it and then added Power Conference victories against Minnesota and NC State before demanding the regular seasonal championship of the American Athletic Conference.

The owls are not intimidated by their neighbors of the sunshine state.

The right-handed Pitcher Autumn Courtney is the way with a 23: 2 record and an average of 1.80 deserved run. She is challenged by Florida’s offense what can score in Bündel if possible, but the Gators were up and down this season. When Florida Atlantic Florida catches a down, the owls can take advantage of.
